Josh shook his head "Don't be sorry" he said. He could tell that she hadn't planned any of this, and that she didn't know what would happen. He doubted that she evn knew the guy. He sat there in silence for a while.
Josh could see the tears running down her face. he looked down into the footwell, but somwthing out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. Cade's side was bleeding, and the seat she was sitting on was stained. He opended his mouth to say something, but shut it again. She probably didn't want to think about it any more, and it looked like real pain.

I can't help it, though.
She knew he saw because she could see his expression. "It's not that bad, really. A lot worse has happened than this." she said, drying her eyes. Cade didn't know whether this would comfort him or worry him even more.
She felt like she had to explain. "I don't deal with drugs, Josh. I only deliver and leave. Most of the people I deal with are pretty cool." she was talking slowly, trying to ignore the stabbing pain in her side. "This time was just...just a fluke." she told him the best way she could. She rounded a corner and asked him where to go. They were in the neighborhood area.

Josh raised an eyebrow "If you say so" he said unsure, but taking her word for it, but even so, it looked painful. In his opinion, he would have a doctor look at the injury, but it was her choice.
He nodded "Yeah I know. My friend did something like that for a while" he said. "That guy was complete loony. He probably took way too much. He reminded me a bit of...well you know" he said, wishing he hadn't nearly brought up the subject of his dad. "Turn left at the next road" he said to her, as they came into a small comunity.

I know what he was taking.
Cade turned the corner and pressed her hand to her side in a spasm of pain. "Heroin makes people different than what they can be, Josh." she said softly and turned left. She knew he was using because she had seen the marks on his arms when she had pointed the gun. That was why she never shot him...she understood. Maybe he had once been a good guy...she didn't know and never intended on finding out.
She found the house by the sounds of a guitar being tuned, she was that quiet at the moment. "Here you are. Josh...just tell them that I had a bit of car trouble on the way." she asked him. She felt dizzy.

he nodded "I know" he said. His father had taked heaps of the stuff, and it made him act like...well, like that. He had been a very nice guy before he started to take the drugs, and drinking. He also suspected that he had been having an afair toward the end.
He opened the car door "Yeah ok" he said. Hopefully they wouldn't injure him too badly. He felt kind of bad leaving like this "Sorry." he said "For just leaving like 5 minuits after we got there". He felt his phone buzz again, but he ignored it. He wasn't in the mood to take any more crap from his friends.

It's fine.
Cade nodded and took a few deep breaths. "Just go on, Josh." she told him. She didn't mean to sound rude but she was hurting and wanted to have this taken care of. Cade gave him a fleeting smile and shrugged. "Don't worry about me and don't worry about what happened. Nothing will happen to you. Maybe one of these days I can take you to a proper party when you don't need to practice."
With that, Cade pulled out of the drive way and drove off, still very quiet. It wasn't normal for her not to have music blasting or driving at the speed limit.
He doesn't need to know what's going to happen to that guy.
